At Idman Bank, we believe in the power of continuous learning and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards. That’s why we recently held a special training session for our staff, aimed at boosting their understanding of compliance and the important policies that keep everything running smoothly. The training was hosted by our dedicated Compliance Department and took place at our headquarters in KM4, Mogadishu.
On April 22, 2025, some of our valued staff members gathered at our central office for a one-day training session led by our Compliance Department. The goal? To ensure that everyone is fully equipped with the knowledge needed to follow the bank’s internal policies and national financial regulations.
The training focused on:
-
Helping staff understand and stay aligned with the bank’s policies and procedures
-
Raising awareness about the legal frameworks that impact the financial sector in Somalia
-
Encouraging a culture of responsibility, transparency, and legal integrity in all of our work
Throughout the day, our team members participated in engaging discussions, explored real-life examples, and learned how to avoid potential compliance pitfalls. Everyone walked away with a stronger understanding of their role in ensuring the bank’s operations remain compliant with the law.
The training was led by Fardows Omar, Compliance Manager at Idman Bank. Her expertise helped staff understand the bank’s policies and national regulations, ensuring everyone left with a clear understanding of the importance of compliance.
At Idman Bank, we’re committed to building a team that’s not only skilled but also deeply aware of the legal responsibilities that come with our work. This training is just one of many steps we’re taking to make sure our staff are always up-to-date with the latest regulations, so we can continue delivering trusted services to our clients.
Looking ahead, we’ll be offering similar training sessions to other departments to keep the momentum going and make sure we all move forward together in compliance with the law.
